Voting for a class pet

Last year we had so much fun checking in on our virtual class pet that we will be doing it again this year. The great white shark from the Monterey Bay Aquarium was release back into the ocean so we will be voting on a new animal to follow this school year.

We are using a bar graph to track the votes of the three nominees.

The choices are:

• Flamingos from the Monterey Bay Aquarium (see them here)
• Lion cubs from the National Zoo (see them here)
• Polar Bears from the San Diego Zoo (see them here)

Voting results will be reported on Monday.

***Post update***

The lion cubs won the vote for class pet but the webcam at the zoo has not been showing them. Instead we have been stopping by the panda bears to see what they have been up to. We will soon be drawing and writing about what we have observed.
