Our Class Pet


The speech and language classroom has a virtual class pet this year. She is a Great White Shark that lives at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Click here to see her (you may need to wait 10-15 seconds for the webcam to load). The other animals we considered were the Giant Pandas from the National Zoo and Shamu from Sea World. The students wrote and presented their opinions about which animal we should have as a class pet. After hearing these persuasive arguments we voted by paper ballots. The Great White Shark had the most votes. We are excited to learn more about sharks and the Monterey Bay Aquarium this year.
